In sviluppo AMC 1.23 e EmuLA (Emulator Launcher)

Fabio Falcucci alias Allanon è già da tempo al lavoro alla prossima versione di AMC, la novità principale della versione 1.23 sarà l'inserimento di una nuova sotto-categoria "software", ovvero: aggiunta di applicativi on-the-fly e lancio delle stesse in pochi click standosene comodamente seduti in poltrona, naturalmente avendo a disposizione un dispositivo di input adatto, ad esempio un telecomando.

L'altra bella novità in sviluppo è l'ormai famoso plugin EmuLA, questo sarà disponibile sia come plugin interno di AMC che come programma separato.

Ecco alcune caratteristiche di EmuLA:

- Itunes for Emulation of retro systems : )
- organize you collection of legal ROMS and Szene demos for various systems
- easy access to your favorite games of all generations
- EmuLA downloads any available Emulator automatically...
- If you like one of the PD-Roms or Demos shown in the EmuLA library... EmuLA downloads it at you request!
- EmuLA gives information about the emulated systems and games, incl. pictures
- will be available as PlugIN for AMC and as standalone for AmigaOS 3.0 / 4.x, AROS x86, MOS and more

Io aspetto ancora la versione definitiva per morphos!
anche se sto' testando una versione Preliminare e funzionicchia ma ha ancora qualche BUG a causa di MPlayer che FAB sta' sistemando anche se con la versione uscita questa settimana dovrebbe aver fixato tutto ma Alllanon non ci fa' sapere NULLA

eeeehhhh cip lo so hai ragione, ma io non potevo aspettare Fab con le mani in mano perciò ho ripreso in mano Emula e l'ho... riscritto completamente :)

Parlando di Emula, il core dell'applicazione è completo sto lavorando ai database e via via che trovo dei bug li fixo, ma oramai voglio finire Emula altrimenti divento scemo con tutti sti progetti aperti! E poi... fa caldo...

Ho dato un'occhiata al change-log di mplayer ma non mi sembra che abbia fixato i problemini che avevo segnalato... cmq mi riservo di testare per bene mplayer con AMC per vedere se funge tutto :)

Io sto' gia' Testado MPlayer nuovo sembra meglio in effetti ma se confermi che non ci ha messo le mani bo! io continua a provarlo e a capire come funziona

Il player di per se funziona bene ma per AMC c'è bisogno di alcune funzionalità particolari come il posizionamento della finestra tramite AMC e cose cosi, su MPlayer-OS4 queste cose sono state implementate tempo fa (anche se non tutte quelle che servirebbero) ma sulla versione MorphOS pare ancora di no ...

In effetti il changelog dell'ultima versione MOS dice solo: aggiornato alla revision tal dei tali, non sembrano esserci nuove funzionalità ...

Ok, i guess i need to post here to make some facts straight...

1. The current version of MPlayer supports the things AMC needs to work (even if it's really questionable to integrate a video player in such a way, but i guess you have no choice since you use hollywood). It even supports more than the AROS version does, since width and height geometry options are also taken into account.
2. I sent you a mail to that version on 16.06.2011.
3. Months ago, I told you that the next version of MPlayer MorphOS would have support for these options and "fixes". I have actually implemented all this months ago (geez, this was just 3 lines to add...), but it certainly didn't justify a MPlayer release, especially since you always showed great latency regarding the MorphOS version of AMC. Remember, AMC MorphOS was announced to be released 1 or 2 weeks after the initial AMC OS4 release (which was really not a good idea to release, since the supplied MPlayer version is flawed for many formats in various ways and even crashes/hangs at exit everynow and then).
4. At last, maybe you could show a bit more interest about the MorphOS version, considering the AROS port of MPlayer is entirely based on the MorphOS version.

Ok, penso che ho bisogno di postare qui per fare alcuni fatti direttamente ...

1. L'attuale versione di MPlayer supporta le cose AMC ha bisogno di lavorare (anche se è davvero discutibile di integrare un lettore video in modo tale, ma credo che non hai scelta in quanto si utilizza hollywood). Supporta anche più rispetto alla versione di AROS fa, dal momento che le opzioni geometria larghezza e l'altezza sono anche presi in considerazione.
2. Ho inviato una mail a quella versione sul 2011/06/16.
3. Mesi fa, vi ho detto che la prossima versione di MorphOS MPlayer avrebbe il supporto per queste opzioni e "correzioni". Ho effettivamente implementato tutto questo mesi fa (Accidenti, questo era solo 3 linee per aggiungere ...), ma di certo non giustificano una release di MPlayer, soprattutto perché è sempre mostrato grande latenza rispetto alla versione di MorphOS AMC. Ricordate, AMC MorphOS è stato annunciato in uscita 1 o 2 settimane dopo la release iniziale OS4 AMC (che era veramente una buona idea per liberare, dal momento che la versione fornita MPlayer è difettosa per molti formati in vari modi e si blocca anche / si blocca in uscita everynow e poi).
4. Alla fine, forse si potrebbe mostrare interesse per un po 'di più sulla versione di MorphOS, considerando il porto AROS di MPlayer è interamente basato sulla versione di MorphOS.

maybe our language barriers (my english is horrible, I know ) have raised something bad between us :)
I'm really happy you have implemented the requested features and my interest for MOS version of mplayer is really up because of AMC.

I was meaning that while I was waiting for you to make the new build I've started working on Emula, nothing more, nothing less :)
Don't take it too bad, because it isn't! I respect you, you are skilled programmer on the MOS scene and your work influence the entire Amiga scene :)

Just to be clear with my latency with the mos version, the problem was that I did not have a mos machine to test amc, as soon as I've received a machine I started the mos version and finded the problems I've told to you. Please, trust me if I say that I love all Amiga incarnations, I don't have any problem with MorphOS, and I'm not a blinded fanboy ;)
