Ed is the first person to purchase an ODW through the Open Desktop Workstation with MorphOS webpage in the PegasosPPC Store. Thanks for the order Ed!

In 2006, our goal is to double the number of MorphOS users. We estimate that there are 700-900 people that use MorphOS every day as their operating system of choice. There are likely another 600-1200 that use MorphOS for fun when they can or want to, but not as their main OS. These individuals might use MorphOS as their primary OS if MorphOS met all their needs.

Having said that we recognize the interest in MorphOS and improvement in its performance won't happen without investment. We are preparing to do some of that again because we think we have found a market where MorphOS can grow.

This time next year we would like to be able to report more than the first person has purchased an ODW with MorphOS. What we would like to report is a clear future and the corresponding business model.

Spero finalmente che certa gente su Amigapage.it la finisca di prendere per il c... chi usa os4 (...e lo stesso OS4) e si dedichi integralmente all'uso di MOS senza più rompere l'anima (ad OS4 manca questo - OS4 non uscirà mai e cose del genere).
Adesso avranno l'OS Amiga-Like dei loro sogni.Auguri sinceri.

Non ho più seguito molto la diatriba tra sviluppatori MOS e Genesi, ma se Genesi sgancia un po' di $ mi sembra una cosa positiva... bisogna vedere se intendono fare imposizioni di qualche genere al team.

Adesso che Freescale ha annunciato che non è più interessata al desktop ecco che rispunta fuori MOS...a me la cosa puzza di presa per il culo dell'utenza, ma se questo porterà comunuque risorse alla piattaforma ben venga! Io ho sempre sostenuto che Linux avrebbe dovuto essere un mezzo per finanziare anche MOS, e non un fine ultimo da raggiungere. Impostare una politica incetrata su LinuxPPC per il mercato desktop è perdente su tutta la linea, e la decisione di Freescale ne è la riprova, bisogna puntare su mercati ni nicchia dove OS4 e MOS possono ancora dire la loro e sull'apertissimo mercato dei PDA e degli STB.
