Me ne sono accorto mentre mi accingevo ad editare da zero l'articolo wikipedia che lo riguardava, che ormai da troppo tempo mancava come informazione accessibile a tutto il web riguardo a questo bel desktop environment:

La nuova versione 41.7, oltre ad essere capace di compiere cose mirabolanti (come l'impresa di caricare le glowicons di AmigaOS 3.5 anche su AmigaOS 3.0 e 3.1) è adesso compatibile coi vecchi AmigaOS Classic, col nuovo 4.0/4.1 e addirittura con MorphOS. dove un domani vuole rivaleggiare con Ambient e Directory Opus Magellan.
In Scalos, nei file immagine e filmato, le thumbnail di anteprima, che mostrano quello che è contenuto nel file, diventano di default le icone di riferimento!
Anche i vecchi sistemi Amiga acquistano tutto un nuovo aspetto con VisualPrefs integrato in Scalos!
